Lusia Harris Stewart (1992) was a member of the first-ever women's Olympic team in 1976, and scored the game's first points. She ended her remarkable career with a silver medal in the 1976 Olympics and the 1977 AIAW national championship. As her records and statistics suggest, Lusia Harris Stewart changed the face of women's basketball during her four-year career at Delta State. When she graduated in 1977, Harris-Stewart held 15 of 18 Delta State team, single game and career records. Cheryl Miller (1995) was named Sports Illustrated's the best male or female player in college basketball (1986). In a spectacular career, Miller scored 3,018 career points and was a four time All-America at USC. Nancy Lieberman (1996) became the youngest basketball player (18) in Olympic history to win a medal as the US team captured a silver medal at the 1976 Olympics. Her prolific scoring abilities and dynamic style on the court made her a number one draft choice of the Dallas Diamonds of the Women's American Basketball Association in 1980. After leading the Diamonds to the league title in 1985, Lieberman made history once again in 1986 and 1987 as she became the first female to play in a men's professional league, signing with the Springfield Fame of the United States Basketball League. Carol Blazejowski (1994) tallied 3,199 points during a phenomenal career at Montclair State College from 1974 to 1978. The first ever recipient of the Wade Trophy as the 1978 Women's Basketball Player of the Year, she was a three-time All-America selection (1976, 1977, 1978) and was named Converse Women's Player of the Year in 1977. There are the original circular medallions and biographical plates that were on exhibit at the prior Hall of Fame's "Honors Court" from 1985 to 2001; the Hall moved to a new facility in 2002 and a new gallery to honor the greats of the game was built. Silver relief medallions in EXMT condition with minor scratching, biographical plates are NRMT.
