Dan Issel was one of the most prolific scorers in basketball history. He spent fifteen years playing in both the ABA and NBA, spending five years with the Kentucky Colonels and ten years with the Denver Nuggets. The "Horse" finished his impressive career averaging over twenty points a game in both leagues. He earned All-American honors on both the high school and collegiate levels. Once his Pro career began, he only missed 24 games out of a possible 1,242. As a rookie with the Colonels in 1971, he led the ABA in scoring and was named the Rookie of the Year. He was named MVP of the ABA's All-Star game in 1972 and led the Colonels to the 1975 ABA Championship. When he retired from the Nuggets, Issel ranked second on Denver's all time scoring list and first in rebounds. He was enshrined to the Naismith Memorial Hall of Fame in 1993. Silver Relief medallion in excellent condition with only a small discoloration mark over his head. Accompanied by an 18" x 18" Plaque picturing Issel taking a hook shot and a brief bio of his career.
