Nathaniel Thurmond was drafted by the San Francisco Warriors in 1963 and played 14 professional seasons posting career averages of 15 points and 15 rebounds per game. To this day, he holds the NBA record for most rebounds in a quarter with 18 and was the first player ever to record a quadruple-double. Nate was elected to the NBA All-Defensive First Team twice, 1969 and 1971, to the NBA All-Defensive Second Team three times 1972, 1973, and 1974, the NBA All-Rookie Team in 1964 and was a seven time NBA All-Star 1965-'68, 1970, 1973 and 1974. In 1996 he was voted one of the 50 Greatest Players in NBA History and was elected to Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 1985. Silver Relief medallion in excellent condition with mounting bolts on the back. It is an alternate medallion originally from the Hall of Fame but was replaced when the new building opened.
