Commodus ruled Rome from 180 to 192 AD, and when his wife Bruttia Crispina Augusta was caught being unfaithful, he had her exiled to Capri. In happier times (circa 180-182 AD), Commodus had this large sized bronze sestertius coin minted for her, which is equivalent to approximately a quarter of a denarius. It features a draped right-facing bust of Crispina on the front. Encapsulated and graded ICG-VG8.
