Commonly referred to as "Legal Tenders" because of their stated payment obligation, these notes were issued in six Series', with this Elliott-White note being issued in the sixth (1880) Series. Featuring a portrait of Alexander Hamilton on the left and a vignette of "Victory holding a shield and sword" on the right, this note is overprinted with a small red scalloped seal on the right and red serial numbers, grades Extra Fine.
