Pair of 1908 and 1914 $20 double eagles (issued 1908-1915) known as the "Saint-Gaudens" after their sculptor. They are widely recognized as masterpieces of numismatic art and are considered the most beautiful U.S. coins ever made. "Liberty" is surrounded by 46 stars for each state in the Union. The coins weigh 33.436 grams each and are 90% gold. The $20 coins are rare, as fewer were produced due to lower demand for that denomination, $20 representing a considerable amount of money in the early 20th century.
