These bills have been out of production since 1947--over 58 years ago! The $1,000 bill offered here is a series 1934 Julian-Morgenthau drawn on the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis. Due to the Gold Reserve Act of 1933, the Payment Obligation has been changed from previous notes to read "This note is legal tender...and is redeemable in lawful money." Overprinted with a small green seal on the right, a black District Seal on the left and green serial numbers, cleanly printed with strong colors, slightly off-center towards the bottom. Grades Crisp Uncirculated.
