Joe DiMaggio is remembered as one of the game's most graceful athletes - a "picture player" both at bat and in center field. Many rate his 56-consecutive-game hitting streak in 1941 as the top baseball feat of all time. "The Yankee Clipper" used an unusually wide stance in winning two batting championships and three MVP awards. In 13 seasons he amassed 361 homers, averaged 118 RBI annually and compiled a .325 lifetime batting mark. At baseball's 1969 Centennial Celebration, he was named the game's greatest living player. On the left front tail of the jersey is the "Tim McAuliffe Inc." manufacturers tag. Adjacent to that are two additional manufacturers tags with "69" and the jersey size "50" on them. On the front left breast of the jersey is "A's". Below this on front is the Major League Baseball "100th Anniversary" patch. On the front right breast is the player number "5". On the back is the player number "5". All letters and numbers are done in green on yellow tackle twill. There is an autograph on front in blue marker rating an 8. The jersey shows wear and appears to have no alterations of any kind. The autograph is accompanied by a LOA from James Spence Authentication. The bat is Manuf: H&B, Model: D29L, Length: 35.75 in, Weight: 37.1 oz, Wood: Ash, Condition: Un-cracked with checking. Accompanied by a LOA from PSA/DNA.
