Led by Captain Thurman Munson and "Mr. October" Reggie Jackson, the 1978 NY Yankees won the American League pennant with a record of 100-63 on their way to another World Championship. The Yankees first had to overcome the Boston Red Sox, having finished in a tie on the last day of the season. They defeated the Sox in a one game playoff at Fenway Park when shortstop Bucky Dent hit what turned out to be a historic home run. They defeated the Royals three games to one in the ALCS on their way to a showdown with Tommy Lasorda's Dodgers in the World Series. The Bronx Bombers came away victorious in six games, adding another back-to-back championship to the Yankees all-time greatness. This Reggie Jackson pro model Adirondack model #155 bat has been signed by 31 members of the 1978 World Champion NY Yankees all in blue marker, rating 9 to a near perfect 10. Deceased signatures on the bat barrel include manager Billy Martin, Thurman Munson and Jim "Catfish" Hunter. Also on the bat are Yankee legends Elston Howard and Dick Howser. Accompanied by a LOA from James Spence Authentication.
