If you are looking for a Bernie Williams gamer, it doesn't get much better than this. In October of 2003, the NY Yankees won their 39th American League Championship and went on to face the Florida Marlins in the World Series. Bernie seemed to be on base every time he got the opportunity, batting .400 throughout the series. On the left front tail is the "RUSSELL" manufacturers tag with wash instructions. Attached are three flag tags, "48 100% POLYESTER", "+2 EXTRA LENGTH" and "+2 EXTRA SLEEVE LENGTH" indicating jersey size, material and alterations, respectively. On the left breast of the jersey is the classic interlocking "NY" done in navy blue tackle twill. On the back of the jersey is player number "51" also done in navy blue tackle twill. On the right sleeve is the official "2003 World Series" embroidered patch. On the left sleeve is the "100th ANNIVERSARY" NY Yankees embroidered patch. On the back of the neck is the official "MLB" logo patch. There is an autograph on the left front with inscription "03 WS game used .400 avg 10 hits 2 hr 5 RBI" in blue marker rating a near perfect 10. Jersey shows good game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind. Accompanied by a LOA from James Spence Authentication and an additional LOA from Yankees-Steiner.
