In 1986, the NY Mets came back from a three games to two deficit to defeat the Boston Red Sox in seven games. NY Mets third baseman Ray Knight was the MVP of that historic '86 World Series hitting the game winning home run in the 7th inning of game seven. This is the bat that Knight used and will forever be a part of NY Mets and baseball history. Manuf: Worth, Model: WC175, Length: 34 in, Weight: 37 oz, Wood: Ash, Condition: Un-cracked. Nice hit marks covering the right barrel hitting surface. There are black ball transfer marks on the right barrel and red and blue rack marks on the left, front and back barrels. There is a moderate coat of pine tar on the handle. Player number "22" is written on the knob end in black marker. There is an autograph on the right barrel with inscription "OCT 27, 1986 1986 World Series vs. Boston Red Sox GW RBI Home run 7th Inning Game 7 Calvin Scharaldi Pitcher M.V.P. 1986 World Series" done in blue marker rating a solid 9. Overall: OUTSTANDING. Accompanied by a LOA from James Spence Authentication as well as a LOA from PSA/DNA.
