On the back inside collar is the "STARTER" manufacturer's tag. Below this tag is a strip tag "52-R." On the inside back is the original fight strap. Diagonally on the front is "RANGERS" in blue on red tackle twill. On the back and on both sleeves is the player number "16" in blue on red tackle twill. Across the back is the player name "LaFONTAINE" in blue on red tackle twill sewn directly on the jersey. On the bottom right of the jersey back is the "Starter" and "NHL" embroidered logos. Inside the back of the jersey is the "New York Rangers 1997-98 Season" patch. There are numerous hit marks on both sleeves and on the front and back. The jersey shows tremendous game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind. Accompanied by a LOA from the New York Rangers attesting to the fact that this jersey was worn when Pat LaFontaine scored his 1000th NHL point. Also accompanied by a Byron LOA.
