Jack Lambert was a second-round draft pick in 1974. Prototype middle linebacker - intense, intelligent, fast, quick, durable. Noted for vicious tackling, great range, superior pass defense. Two-time NFL Defensive Player of Year, All-Pro eight times, and nine straight Pro Bowls, 1976-1984. Played in six AFC title games, and four Super Bowls for the Steelers. On the left front tail of the jersey, the "Medalist Sand-Knit" manufacturers tags have been removed (outline of the tagging can still be seen in the jersey). Next to that the "83" year tag, remains. There has been about 6 inches of material added to the bottom of the jersey for length. On the front, back and on each shoulder of the jersey is the player number "58" in white tackle twill. Across the back of the jersey is "LAMBERT" in yellow tackle twill on a black name plate. The sleeves have been cut. The jersey shows game use and besides having the manufacturers tags removed, material added to lengthen and the sleeves being cut appears to have no alterations of any kind. Accompanied by an additional LOA.
