Slater played in 259 games from 1976 to 1995, the most ever by an offensive lineman at the time of his retirement. His 20 seasons with one team is an NFL record that stands to this day. Slater was selected to play in 7 Pro Bowls, and made it to Super Bowl XIV with the Rams in the 1979 season. On the left front tail of the jersey is the "Sand-Knit Los Angeles Rams" manufacturers tag. Below that is an additional "Sand-Knit" tag with the jersey size "54" and wash instructions on it. On the front, back and on each sleeve of the jersey is the player number "78" screen printed in white. Across the back of the jersey is "SLATER" in white screen print on a blue name plate. The jersey shows light use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
