Rare program from the opening day of Yankee Stadium on April 18, 1923, with the "two colonels" on the cover. The greatest crowd that ever saw a baseball game sat and stood in this new park; inside the grounds, by official count, were 74,200 people, and 25,000 more fans outside. Babe Ruth hit the game winning home run to defeat the Red Sox, 4-1. Program is unscored, interior is very clean, light cover wear, spine and several pages are split on the top and bottom thirds, overall EX condition.
