1961 was indeed a magical season for the NY Yankees' right fielder, Roger Maris. He accomplished something that no one else could during the 34 years after Babe Ruth set his single season home run record of 60. When Maris connected for number 61 on October 1, 1961, history was made and Maris cemented himself as an all-time Yankees legend. This extremely unique piece was obtained directly from the Maris celebrity golf tournament in Fargo, North Dakota. It has been beautifully framed and matted measuring 44" x 64" and contains 40 autographed cuts and 46 autographed baseball cards comprising the complete list of pitchers that gave up all 61 home runs to Maris in 1961. Each cut has a sticker picturing Maris' lefty swing as well as "61 '61" and has an autograph. Some of the notables include "HR #1 Paul Foytack 4-26-61, Bill Monboquette HR #33 7-9-61 & HR #36 7-25-61" and "HR #61 Tracy Stallard 10-1-61."
