Among his many accomplishments which include the 1960 A.L. MVP and Gold Glove, Roger Maris is best remembered for breaking Babe Ruth's home run record by belting his 61st on the last day of the 1961 season. This 12" x 16" marble etching framed to approximately 20" x 24", depicting Roger Maris in his lefty home run stroke, immortalizes that great moment. The caption at the bottom reads "Roger Maris, New York Yankee, October 1, 1961, Connecting for No. 61". Produced by Collectors Art Limited and numbered "14/61" on the lower right. In NRMT condition with very light wear, accompanied by a LOA signed in blue ink by Roger Maris himself, signature grades a perfect 10. Obtained directly from the Maris family in Fargo, North Dakota. Accompanied by a Roger Maris signed COA and a LOA from a family member.
