Having pitched for the A's from 1977-1985, Steve McCatty continued on as a pitching coach. This size 13 Oakland A's 1990 ALCS ring is cast in yellow gold. On the top perimeter in gold letters is "Oakland, American League Champions" in relief. On the top center is set a silver A's logo elephant with three silver squares (angled to resemble baseball diamonds) inlaid with three round diamonds, one in each square, the elephant and squares being set atop a green stone field. On the top left shank in gold letters is the recipient's name "McCatty" in relief, a pitching coach at the time. Below this is a gold A's logo in relief, inlaid with green enamel. Below this in gold letters is "A's-4, B-0" in relief, indicating Oakland's sweep of the Red Sox in the ALCS. On the top right shank in gold letters is the year "1990" in relief, below which is "Athletics" in script relief, also in gold letters. Below this is a gold rendition of the Oakland Coliseum in relief, below which in gold letters is "2.900.217" in relief. On the inside of the ring is stamped "JK, Jostens." Ring shows some wear and is in overall EXMT condition.
