One of the silver screen's most unique and enduring personalities, Katharine Hepburn's career as a leading lady spanned seven decades and over fifty films. Deciding on an acting career while attending Bryn Mawr College, Katharine Hepburn began getting small roles on Broadway in the early 1930s before she broke into stardom with the role of the Amazon princess in "A Warrior's Husband" (1932). She won an Academy Award for her third film "Morning Glory" (1933), the first of four Oscars she was to receive and the only movie star to ever do so; the other three were "Guess Who's coming to Dinner" (1967), "The Lion In the Winter" (1968) and "On Golden Pond" (1980). She carried on a well known 25-year romance with fellow actor Spencer Tracy, with whom she made nine films, until the time of his death in 1967 after completing their last film together, "Guess Who's Coming To Dinner." She wrote her "Me" in 1991, and her last feature film was "Love Affair" (1994), with Warren Beatty and Annette Bening. Katharine Hepburn died of natural causes at the age of 96 in 2003, leaving behind an unparalleled film legacy that ran the gamut from screwball comedies and romances to high drama. This is the very last car that Katharine Hepburn ever owned and was driven around in, in fact it was the only car that she owned at the time of her passing in 2003. It is a 1995 Ford Crown Victoria LX, V8 Automatic with 67,000 miles. Generally garaged at her Fenwick family home in Old Saybrook, Connecticut, the vehicle was dealer maintained and chauffer driven, with Katharine riding in the front seat. Connecticut plates with title in her name, VIN # 2FALP74W7SX142291, very nice original exterior and interior, runs and drives great, white with saddle-tan appointments. Among the features are a crushed velour interior, two-tone dash with chrome accents and map pockets, cruise control, multiple assist grips, automatic headlights, double sun visors, vanity mirror, AM/FM cassette, rear window defroster, power fuel door release, power trunk release, power outside mirrors, power steering, windows and anti-lock brakes and much more. The car was left by Hepburn to her personal helper, impeccable provenance includes the original title and registration, both in Hepburn's name.
