Forty 1930s Indian Head "hobo" nickels that were hand carved before 1957 (the most desirable period) by the kings of hobo art carving, George Washington "Bo" Hughes and Bertrand "Bert" Weigand. Rare selection includes predominantly soldiers, pioneers and clowns. These nickels were said to have been carved and traded in as art by a hungry hobo in exchange for a meal.
