Extremely rare large print entitled "Destruction of Admiral Cervera's Fleet at Santiago de Cuba, July 3rd, 1898," ornately framed behind glass to 32" x 40". Pictures U.S. gunboats sinking the Spanish Fleet at the Battle of Santiago in Cuba during the Spanish American War. Portrait in the upper right corner of Winfield Scott (W.S.) Schley, commander of the U.S. Navy's "Flying Squadron." On the lower right is printed "Copyright 1898 by J. Hoover & Son, Philad'a." Print appears to be NR-MT with minor wrinkling, frame shows light tarnishing and edge wear due to age. This item will be expensive to ship. Also included is an 1898 first edition hardcover "Cuba's Fight For Freedom And The War With Spain" by Henry Houghton Beck, 569 pages with colorful cover and some spine separation.
