The Harlem Globetrotters were initially a serious competitive team, and despite a flair for entertainment, they would only clown for the audience after establishing a safe lead in the game. By the 1960s, they had gradually worked comic routines into their act until they became known more for entertainment than sports. No manufacturer's tags remain on this shooting shirt. On the back of the shooting shirt is "HARLEM" in red on white tackle twill with "ORIGINAL" above and "GLOBETROTTERS" below in gold tackle twill. Part of the metal zipper on front is missing. The shooting shirt shows nice wear and besides missing the manufacturer's tags appears to have no alterations of any kind.
