George Gervin was arguably the Spurs' biggest star during his tenure, moving to the NBA when the merger with the ABA took place in 1976. Along with fellow ABA veteran James Silas, they turned the Spurs into an exciting fast breaking team. Pair of original double-sided banners that hung in the HemisFair Arena when the numbers of Spurs' greats George Gervin (HOF) and James Silas were retired. Each measures an incredible 91" x 142" and is made of two-piece white nylon with black border and black lettering stitched onto both sides. They read, respectively, "George Gervin, 44, 1974-1985" and "James Silas, 13, 1973-1981." Silas' number was retired in 1984, Gervin's in 1987. Overall EX or better condition with some soiling and wear, the occasional stain and small hole.
