Pistol Pete closed out his Hall of Fame career with a stint with the Boston Celtics during the 1979-1980 NBA season. Having played with the Jazz for the last four seasons, Maravich moved with the team to Utah prior to the 1979-1980 season, Maravich moved with the team to Utah. Waived by the Jazz on January 18, 1980 he was quickly picked up by the Boston Celtics where he played the rest of the season alongside Larry Bird. Maravich retired in the fall of 1980. This reversible green and white mesh practice jersey is both a white jersey with letters and numbers screened on in green and a green jersey with letters and numbers screened on in white, depending on what was needed during a particular practice session. Each configuration features the team name "Celtics" screened onto the front and the player number "44" screened onto both the front and back. There is a "Champion" manufacturers tag with the size "X-LARGE" on the right tail of the white jersey, which is equivalent to the inside left tail of the green jersey. The uniform's tagging and stitching are consistent with tagging and stitching present on other 1979-1980 Boston Celtics reversible mesh practice jerseys. Also included is a pair of mid-1980s Old Timer's Game sneakers belonging to HOFer "Pistol" Pete Maravich. Each of the black and white Reebok size 14-1/2 sneakers has the Reebok logo on the left, right and twice on the heel. On the tongue is the Reebok manufacturer's tag and on the inside of the tongue is the size tag. The sneakers show light overall wear. Comes directly from Maravich's wife Jackie and accompanied by LOAs from her.
