Having once played in 670 consecutive games and professional basketball's all time most successful field goal shooter, Artis Gilmore was nicknamed "The A-Train" for his unpretentious but dominating style of play. This astounding trophy measures a whopping 42" overall height. With a 12" square wood base, atop is a smaller 10" x 10" x 3-1/2" square wood base with plaque that reads "Artis Gilmore, MVP, January 31, 1974, ABA All-Star Game." This plaque is a replacement of the original. Atop this is a 6" x 6" x 3" wood square placed inside of four 18" posts with a 5" metal sailboat on a 3" post. On the corners of a 10" square platform which rests on the four posts are two plastic basketballs and two ornate "19" and "74" pieces for the year. In the center of the platform is a trophy cup with hook-shot basketball player standing atop, on a 3" x 3' x 1" marble base, overall 19" high. The only flaw is a small piece missing from the top of the sailboat, otherwise EXMT overall with light wear and light tarnishing on the accents. Originally obtained directly from Gilmore. A magnificent piece worthy of any sports room. This trophy will be expensive to ship.
