In the mid-1970s former ABA Commissioner Mike Storen came in to run the Memphis Tams, which he renamed to the Memphis Sounds and developed a new color scheme and logo, which were good enough that when the ABA became defunct and the copyrights on its properties were allowed to lapse, a minor league baseball team in Nashville adopted them and continues to use them to the present day. On the left front tail of the jersey is the "Rawlings" manufacturer's size 40 wash instructions tag. Across the front of the jersey is "SOUNDS." On the front and back is the player number "16." All lettering and numbering is done in red tackle twill. The jersey shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
