Guard Calvin Murphy (HOF) played for the San Diego/Houston Rockets from 1970-1983. In his first season, Murphy was nominated to the NBA All-Rookie team. A diminutive man known for his quickness and defensive ability, he was one of the best free-throw shooters ever, setting the NBA record for most consecutive free throws made, as well as setting a record for the highest free throw percentage in 1980-1981. He was the Rockets' all-time leading scorer until that record was broken in 1994 by Hakeem Olajuwon. On the front tail of the jersey is the "Rawlings" manufacturer's size 40 wash tag. Below this is an embroidered strip tag, which reads "2 In XL." Across the front of the jersey is "ROCKETS" in red tackle twill. Below that and on the back is the player number "23" in red tackle twill Across the back is the player name "MURPHY" in red tackle twill. The jersey is autographed on the front in black marker with "Hall of Fame" added and rates an 8. The jersey shows good game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind. Accompanied by a LOA from James Spence Authentication. An additional LOA will be provided by MEARS, graded A10.
