Sir Charles entered the 1984 NBA Draft as a junior and was taken by the 76ers with the fifth overall pick. He joined a veteran-laden team with stars such as Julius Erving, Moses Malone and Maurice Cheeks, players who took Philadelphia to the 1983 NBA championship, yet Barkley managed to averaged 14.0 ppg and earned a berth on the NBA All-Rookie Team. On the inside back collar of the jacket is the "Sand-Knit" manufacturers tag with size "46" on it. Below this is a white strip tag with the player number "34" in black marker. Next to this tag is the "Designed & Tailored Exclusively for the Philadelphia 76ers" tag. There are two additional tags which read "2" L.B." and "89." On the left breast is "Philadelphia 76ers" logo patch in red, white, and blue embroidery. On the right breast is the official "NBA" embroidered logo. On the back of the jacket is "SIXERS" in blue on red tackle twill. The jacket shows good wear and there appears to be no alterations of any kind.
