Ralph Sampson was arguably the most heavily recruited basketball prospect of his generation. Playing at UVA, he was one of only two male players in the history of college basketball to receive the Naismith Award as the Player of the Year three times. On the front tail of the jersey is the "CHAMPION" size 44 manufacturers wash tag. In the inside inseam is the "4" Extra Length" tag. Across the front of the jersey is "KINGS" in blue on red tackle twill. Below that and on the back is the player number "50" in blue on red tackle twill. Across the back is "SAMPSON" in blue tackle twill. On the left breast is the official "NBA" embroidered logo. The jersey shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
