Magic Johnson (HOF) is acknowledged as one of the most popular NBA basketball players of all time, being well-known for his uncanny passing and dribbling skills, and for his cheerful nature on and off the court. Having won everything possible at the college level, Johnson decided to leave college two years early and declared himself eligible for the 1979 NBA Draft. The Los Angeles Lakers drafted Johnson with the first overall pick, where he established a successful career as he won five NBA championships, played in nine NBA Finals series, and was elected three times for both NBA MVP and NBA Finals MVP. He also played in 12 All-Star games. His fierce, but friendly rivalry with Boston Celtics forward Larry Bird rejuvenated the NBA and ushered in the era of million-dollar salaries. This jersey is from Magic's short-lived second comeback as a player during the 1995-1996 NBA season. On the front tail of the jersey is the "CHAMPION" exclusive tag, which reads "Designed & Tailored 95/96 Exclusively for Los Angeles Lakers BODY LENGTH +3". Next to that tag is the "CHAMPION" size 48 manufacturer's wash tag. On the left breast is the official NBA embroidered logo. Across the front of the jersey is "LAKERS" in yellow on white tackle twill. Below that and on the back is the player number "32" in white on yellow tackle twill. Across the back is the player name "JOHNSON" in yellow on white tackle twill. On the left breast is the official NBA embroidered logo. The jersey is autographed on the front number "2" in black marker and rates a 9. The jersey shows good game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind. Accompanied by a LOA from James Spence Authentication.
