The only son of former Philadelphia 76ers player and former Los Angeles Sparks head coach Joe "Jellybean" Bryant, Kobe Bryant rose to national prominence in 1996 when he became the first guard in league history to be drafted out of high school. Along with teammate Shaquille O'Neal, Bryant led the Lakers to three consecutive NBA championships from 2000 to 2002, and since Shaq's departure Bryant has become the cornerstone of the Lakers' Franchise. He was the NBA leading scorer during the 2005-2006 and 2006-2007 seasons. On the front tail of the jersey is the "CHAMPION" exclusive tag, which reads "Designed & Tailored 96/97 Exclusively for Los Angeles Lakers BODY LENGTH +2". Next to that tag is the "CHAMPION" size 46 manufacturer's wash tag. On the left breast is the official "NBA" gold 50th anniversary embroidered logo. Across the front of the jersey is "LAKERS" in purple on white tackle twill. Below that and on the back is the player number "8" in purple on white tackle twill. Across the back is the player name "BRYANT" in purple on white tackle twill. The jersey is autographed on the front in black marker and rates a 9. The jersey shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind. Accompanied by a LOA from James Spence Authentication.
