During his 22-year playing career with the St. Louis Cardinals, Stan "The Man" won seven National League batting championships and established himself as one of the game's greatest hitters. He retired after the 1963 season with a career batting average of .331. This shirt is a rare name on back style, worn for only for two seasons. On the front left tail is the "Rawlings" manufacturers size "44" tag. Below this, "Musial 62" is chain stitched in red. In the left inside tail is the wash instructions tag with a "SET 1 1962" flag tag. Across the front is the official "Cardinals on a bat" logo along with "Cardinals" in script lettering, embroidered in red, navy and gold. Below that to the left and on the back is the player number "6" done in red on navy felt. Across the back is "MUSIAL" sewn directly on the jersey in red on navy felt. The jersey is autographed on front in black marker and rates an 8. The jersey shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind. This shirt is one of the most desirable and beautiful Musial's known. The autograph is accompanied by a LOA from JSA.
