1998 gave this generation of baseball fans a look at what is might have been like to watch Murders Row in 1927. The 1998 NY Yankees went 125-50, winning five out of every seven games they played, sweeping the Padres in the World Series. Joe Torre was the Skipper of this legendary group of players, coining them "The Best Ever", as inscribed on the Yankees '98 Championship Ring. On the left front tail is the "Russell Athletic Diamond Collection" manufacturer's label with size "46." Attached are two additional flag tags "100% Polyester" and "2" Extra Length." On the front left chest of the jersey is "NY" in navy blue tackle twill. On the back is the managers number "6" in navy blue tackle twill. On the right sleeve the "1998 World Series" patch. The jersey is signed on front in blue marker with "125-50 World Series Sweep" added and rates a 9. The jersey shows wear and appears to have no alterations of any kind. The autograph is accompanied by a LOA from JSA. Accompanied by a Steiner letter, hand signed by Torre, indicating this was the shirt he wore during the 1998 World Series.
