Throughout the homestand of September 6-11, 2005, the NY Yankees wore Salvation Army patches on the right sleeves of their uniform shirts in tribute to the efforts of organizations working to aid victims of Hurricane Katrina. On the front left tail of the Jason Giambi jersey is the "Majestic" manufacturers tag with flag tags attached reading size "52," "-1" Body," and "2005." On the back is the player number "25" in navy blue tackle twill. The jersey is signed on back in black marker and rates a 9. On the front left tail of the Gary Sheffield jersey is the "Majestic" manufacturers tag with flag tags attached reading size "50," "-2" Body," and "2005." On the back is the player number "11" in navy blue tackle twill. On the right sleeve of both jerseys is the "Salvation Army" patch.
