One of a limited production of 26, ostensibly for the Yankee's 26 World Championships through the year 2000, this size 10 ring is cast in platinum. Formerly on display at the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, this true piece of art was created to celebrate the New York Yankees as the "team of the century" in the year 2000. On the top perimeter is "Team Of The Century" in relief. The top center is bed of small diamonds onto which has been set the "NY" interlocking logo inlaid with several small diamonds. On the right shank is an engraved banner that reads "Hall Of Fame." Below this in relief are the names of Yankee HOFers: Ruth, Gehrig, DiMaggio, Mantle, Dickey Berra, Rizzuto, Gomez, Ford, Hunter, Stengel, Jackson, Pennock, Hoyte." Below this is an engraved chevron that reads "2/26," ostensibly the production number. On the left shank is an engraved banner that reads "Champions." Below this in relief are the Yankee World Series Championship years, in the format of apostrophe followed by two digits: 23, 27, 28, 32, 36, 37, 38, 39, 41, 42, 47, 49, 50, 51, 52, 53, 56, 58, 61, 62, 77, 78, 96, 98, 99, 00." Below this is an engraved chevron that reads "Nonpareil." This ring is in NRMT condition with light wear.
