Known as the greatest franchise in the history of sports, the NY Yankees have fielded immortal teams in every era. 1996 marked the return of the fabled New York Yankees franchise to World Series glory, when they once again made New York City a magic place in the month of October by defeating the Atlanta Braves in the World Series to bring home the first Championship since 1978 and the first of four over the next five years. Thus began a new dynasty in New York history. This size 9-1/2 ring is cast in 10K yellow gold. Around the top perimeter is "World Champions" and "19" and "96" in relief. On the top center is the "NY" interlocking logo inlaid with 22 small round diamonds. This "NY" is set on a field of blue sapphire. On the right shank is a Yankees logo in relief set between a depiction of the Yankee Stadium facade in relief and a raised engraved banner that reads "Tradition." On the left shank is the recipient's name "Cardenal" in relief, below which is a World Series trophy in relief with raised banners that read "Courage" and "Heart." Inside the ring is stamped "LGB 10K." Comes with a Balfour box. This stunning ring is in NRMT condition with light wear.
