Jack Lang was the Hall of Fame (1986) baseball writer who for who for two decades had the pleasant assignment of telling players they'd been elected to Cooperstown. As secretary-treasurer of the Baseball Writers' Association of America (BBWAA) from 1966-1988, Lang was in charge of counting the Hall of Fame votes and held the job of telling players when they'd been elected. Around the top perimeter of this size 12 ring is "Major League All Star" in relief. Inside the top perimeter is a red stone face with a gold inlaid baseball, atop which sits a small round diamond on a baseball-diamond shaped base. On the right shank is the 1988 All-Star Game logo in relief. On the left shank is the National League logo in relief. On the inside is stamped "Jostens QGT" with the engraving "Jack Lang Official Scorer." Ring is in NRMT condition with light wear.
