Overcoming great difficulties to become a graduate of Notre Dame, Bill Laimbeer turned pro in 1979. Spending almost his entire career with the Detroit Pistons, Bill Laimbeer was one of the most notorious players in the NBA due to his style of hard physical play. On the left front tail is the "Sand-Knit" manufacturer's wash tag with the jersey size "42" on it. Across the front is "IRISH" in gold on white screen print. Below that and on the back is the player number "52" in the same screen print. Across the back is "LAIMBEER" in gold on white tackle twill. The jersey shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
