Bill McHenry provided Washington & Lee with his quality leadership abilities, first on the playing fields and later as an administrator and coach. McHenry was the captain of the last subsidized football team in 1953 and he was twice named to the United Press International All-America team. On the crotch piece is the "Wilson" manufacturers size 46 tag. On the back and the front of the jersey is the player number "57" in white tackle twill. On each shoulder of the jersey are ten stars in red felt. There is a crotch piece attached to the bottom of the jersey. The jersey shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
