Mario Lemieux was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame immediately after his first retirement, waiving the normal three-year waiting period. His impact on the NHL has been significant. Bobby Orr called him "the most talented player I've ever seen." Lemieux has won two Stanley Cups, an Olympic gold medal, and two World Cups of Hockey. Inside the rear collar is the "PITTSBURGH PENGUINS GAME WORN AUTHENTIC" sewn in tag signed by Steve Latin, the Equipment Manager in black marker. Attached is a white flag tag with "MADE IN CANADA 56" and player number "66" written in black marker. Written on the top of the fight strap inside the rear tail is "OTTOWA 2/12/05" in black marker. This Air-Knit home jersey has the embroidered team large "Penguin" patch on the front. Adjacent is the embroidered captains "C." On the back and on both sleeves is the player number "66." On the back is the player name "LEMIEUX" on a white nameplate. All numbers and letters are done in black on gold on black triple tackle twill. On the back neck is the "CCM" embroidered patch. On each shoulder is the team "triangle" logo patch. There is an autograph on the back number done in gold marker rating an 8-9. The jersey shows game-use with black board burns on the front and appears to have no alterations of any kind. The jersey is accompanied by a LOA from Milt Byron and the signature is accompanied by a LOA from JSA.
