Considered to be one of the greatest team leaders in the history of professional sports, "The Captain" Mark Messier was simply that. He made good players great and great players supreme. Over the course of his more than two decades on the ice, "Mess" won six Stanley Cups, five of them with the Edmonton Oilers while scoring 1887 points in 1756 games. The future Hall of Famer won two Hart trophy's, one Conn Smythe trophy and will go down as one of one of the greatest to ever lace 'em up. On the back inside collar is the "CCM/Maska" manufacturer's flag tag with wash instructions. Written below this tag is "90/91 3." On the inside back is the original fight strap. On the front is the large "Oilers" logo in blue on white with orange tackle twill. On the back and on both sleeves is the player number "11" in blue on white on orange triple tackle twill. Across the back is the player name "MESSIER" in blue tackle twill on a white name plate. On the front left breast is the Captains "C" in blue on white on orange triple tackle twill. On the bottom of the back is the "CCM/ NHL" embroidered logo. There are numerous hit marks on both sleeves and on the front and back bottom. The jersey shows tremendous game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind. Accompanied by a LOA from Milt Byron and a team LOA.
