Often referred to as the "Black Eagle," the center face of this (fourth) Series 1899 Speelman-White $1 silver certificate features a flying bald eagle with the flag in its talons, representing the stability of the United States. Three variations were produced, this one is overprinted with a scalloped blue seal on the right, with the series date printed on the lower left side of the bill. Grades Extra Fine.
