Known as "Trade Stimulators," the very appearance of these devices attracted attention, often enticing a penny or more from an intrigued saloon patron. This 25" tall, 17-1/2" diameter coin operated betting wheel is encased in oak, original "Fairest Wheel" stenciling on both sides of the marquee. Made by The Decatur Fairest Wheel Works of Decatur, IL, "Pat'd May 7, 1895" stamped on the side of the base. Works well, overall EXMT condition, tremendous for its age! This item will be expensive to ship.
