In 1992, the Fuente family planted the first seeds of the wrapper leaves for "Fuente Fuente OpusX" (FFOX) cigars in the Dominican Republic. In 1993, the first FFOX cigars were made with this legendary wrapper. In commemoration of the Fuente Fuente OpusX tenth anniversary, Prometheus International produced 100 "FFOX Forbidden X" humidors in three different veneers in 2002 - this is one of those ultra-rarities, one of 50 produced in "Red Madrona." This cabinet humidor has two doors which, when opened, reveal seven drawers. Each drawer is equipped with a Prometheus Optima humidifier and digital hygrometer/thermometer. The front facade of each drawer is finished with the same veneer as the outside, in this case "Red Madrona," and the inside of each drawer is lined with natural Mahogany veneer. The storage capacity of each drawer is over 75 cigars, over 500 for the humidor as a whole. This true piece of art measures 15-3/4" wide x 14-1/4" deep x 14-3/4" high, weighing in at 59 pounds. The manufacturer's suggested retail price at the time, which included 100 rare cigars, was $10,000. In MINT condition. This lot will be expensive to ship.
