A 6'11" center from the University of Kansas, Wesley played ten seasons in the NBA as a member of the Cincinnati Royals, Chicago Bulls, Cleveland Cavaliers, Phoenix Suns, Capital Bullets, Philadelphia 76ers, Milwaukee Bucks, and Los Angeles Lakers. During the 1970-71 NBA season, Wesley led the Cavaliers in total points (1,455) and rebounds (713). He averaged 8.5 points per game and 5.5 rebounds per game over the course of his career. The jersey was originally issued to #44 Walt Wesley for the 1970-1971 Inaugural season and then re-issued the next season to player #26 and a name on back was added. On the back inside tail is the "Rawlings" manufacturer's size “42” tag. Adjacent is a tag that has been washed out. Sewn next to that is a wash instructions tag. Across the front is the team name "CAVALIERS." Player number "26" appears on both the front and back. All numbers and letters are done in burgundy tackle twill. The name on back has been removed. On the inside back waistband of the shorts is the "Rawlings" manufacturer's size 34 tag. The jersey and shorts show game-use and besides the changes mentioned, appears to have no other alterations of any kind.
