Branson played collegiately for the Elon University and was selected by the Philadelphia 76ers in the 2nd round of the 1965 NBA Draft. He played for the 76ers (1965-66) in the NBA for 5 games and for the New Orleans Buccaneers (1967-68) in the ABA for 78 games. On the rear inside tail is the "Rawlings" manufacturer's size 42 tag. Adjacent is another tag that has been washed out. Sewn next to that tag is a wash instructions tag. Across the front is the team name “BUCS.” Below that and on back is the player number “24.” All lettering and numbering is done in red on navy blue tackle twill. On the inside back waistband of the shorts is the "Rawlings" manufacturers size 36 tag. The uniform shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
