One of the truly magical shooters and dribblers in basketball history, "Curly" Neal embraced the imagination of fans all over the world for 22 seasons as a key member of the Harlem Globetrotters. He played in more than 6,000 plus games in 97 countries from 1963 to 1985 with the Globetrotters. In addition to being known as one of the greatest all-time dribblers, Neal was an incredible shooter and had the knack for hitting shots from behind the mid-court mark. After an outstanding career at Douglas High School in Charlotte, North Carolina, where he averaged 23.1 points per game, he led his team to the CIAA title his senior year. The 6’1" guard still does public relations and marketing appearances for the Globetrotters as an "Ambassador of Goodwill." Neal received the Globetrotters "Legends" ring on June 25, 1993. Across the front of the jersey is “Shooting Stars” in burgundy on blue tackle twill. On the back is the player number “22” in burgundy on blue tackle twill. Across the back is the player name “NEAL” in blue tackle twill. The “A” and “L” have excessive wear and tear. On the front right breast is the “AIS” manufacturers logo. In the front waistband of the shorts is the “AIS” manufacturers size L tag. On the lower right leg is the “AIS” logo. On the lower left leg are a burgundy and a blue tackle twill stars. There are 8 white tackle twill stars on both legs. The uniform shows good game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
