Rated by professional scouts as the number one point guard prospect out of high school, Rose decided to play his college basketball for the University of Memphis Tigers. After declaring for the NBA Draft following his freshman year, Rose was selected first overall in the June 2008 NBA Draft by his hometown Chicago Bulls. After his selection, the Bulls held a press conference at the United Center on June 30th, 2008. Rose wore this very jersey on that day during his first official photo shoot with the Bulls. On the left front tail is the "adidas" manufacturers tag. Attached are four flag tags, "52", "PLAYDRY", "2006-2007" and "LENGTH+4." On the tag is "A.R. Team Event Worn" written in black marker, of which "A.R." is Allen Rose, Derrick’s brother's initials. Across the front is "BULLS." On the front and back is number "1." Player name "ROSE" appears across the back. All numbers and letters are done in red on black tackle twill. There is a name change on back as well as a number change on both the front and back done by the team. There is an autograph on both the front and back in black marker with inscription "2008 #1 Pick" which rates a 7. On the left breast is the official NBA embroidered logo. At the back neck is the team "Bull Head" embroidered patch. This shirt was originally sourced from Rose himself and comes to us through a family member. It is accompanied by a LOA from JSA as well as a photo of Allen Rose holding this very jersey.
