While with the California Angels, Reggie Jackson eclipsed the all-time strike out record set by NY Yankees legend Mickey Mantle. On that day, Mantle was on hand announcing the game with fellow broadcaster Joe Torre. This photo truly captures a unique moment in baseball history. It is framed to 17-1/2” x 19” and double matted. There is a plaque under the photo which states “Legends of the Game.” The photo has been signed by Jackson, Torre and Mantle, all in black marker. The Reggie Jackson rates an 8-9 while the Torre and Mantle rate near perfect 10s. In fact, the Mantle is quite bold and as close to perfect as we have seen. The frame shows light scratching.
