Larry Wilson was originally a cornerback but found his place on the team when he switched to free safety. He was selected to eight Pro Bowls, was a member of the NFLs 75TH Anniversary Team as well as the NFL All-Decade teams for both the 1960s and 1970s. He was elected to the Football Hall of Fame in 1978 and his number “8” is retired by the Cardinals organization. Inside this “Rawlings” helmet is player number “8” written in black marker on the rear of the dome. The inner suspension is fully intact. Adjacent to each ear hole is player number “8” written in black marker. Additionally, adjacent to the right hole is “7-1/8” written twice in black marker. On the outer shell is Wilson’s signature with inscription “HOF 78” done in blue marker rating an 8-9. The helmet shows nice game-use with sweat staining inside and minor scuffing to the dome. It is accompanied by a LOA from JSA.
